Robert,

Here is the latest info I can find:

MAY SECTION NEWS

NJ ANTENNA SUPPORT STRUCTURE BILL A-3065: Unfortunately, since last month we
have not been able to meet with the key Legislators involved. While the
letter writing campaign is helping we are still not getting the response we
hoped for; i.e. an agreement to meet. If you and your club have not done so
yet, PLEASE write or call the offices of Assemblymen Sires and Green to
voice your concern. Please remember that letters and phone calls mean more
than e-mail messages. The addresses and links are on the Hudson Division web
page. We did manage two successes this month. The first was an article in
the New Jersey League of Municipalities Magazine featuring ham radio and how
it helps with emergency communications. (WA2MWT, W2ML and W2UDT contributed
to the article) The second, also concerning the NJ League, is a Emergency
Communications and Disaster Preparedness Workshop which will be held at its
annual convention in November. The topic will revolve around ham radio and
how it contributes to organizations such as OEM and the Red Cross. This is a
coup for Amateur Radio in New Jersey as its the first time in the 30 years
of NJ League conventions that ham radio has ever been mentioned as an asset
to towns. Also, the NJ League of Municipalities is our biggest opponent in
getting A3065 passed. The fact that we have accomplished the above is a
major step for NJ hams! More details to come as we get closer to convention
time. These efforts can only help us to get A3065 passed
