N1RR/R441.625 / Offest Minus / PL 146.2The repeater was off the air for a short time. I've also replaced the vertical that was on loan from John-K1JI with a new vertical that is at the same height: 20 feet. Coverage of this repeater is currently limited by the low antenna height. The expected coverage is estimated to be:   - Handhelds may be limited to less than 2 miles of range.
   - Mobile stations might see 2 to 4 miles of range unless at terrain higher than Northern Seekonk.    - Home stations may see greater range, especially those at higher elevations than Northern Seekonk. Users from North Providence, Attleboro and as far away as Tiverton, RI can access this repeater. Please send coverage reports with your callsign, operating location, transmit ter power and antenna details to me directly, or report them on w1aqmembers at gmail.comor w1smh at mailman.qth.net
Remember that emergency communication have priority on any amateur radio repeater. The primary purpose in activating this repeater @ N1RR is to support safe tower work & the associated communications conducted by amateur radio tower crews and ground crews in the repeater coverage area. Area hams and members of W1AQ ARASNE club and W1SMH Attleboro - Sturdy Radio Club are welcome to use the repeater anytime except when local tower work communications are being conducted.
Thank you to John-K1JI for designing, tuning, testing and providing the 8-cavity duplexer and integrating the repeater and receive pre-amp. The performance on receive is fantastic.
The FCC mandated transmit power level restrictions as imposed on the 440 MHZ (70cm) band to minimize interference to the OTIS AFB Pave Paws radar system as per FCC regulations 97CFR 97.313(f) as noted below.
Please remember to transmit with not more than 50 watts when accessing this repeater or any other station or repeater on the 420-450 MHz (70cm) band as per the same power restriction imposed by the FCC to all amateur stations with 100 miles (160km) of OTIS ANGB.

================================FCC Part 97 regulations apply to the 420–450 MHz band used by the Pave Paws radar system, which is a military early-warning radar that detects and tracks ballistic missiles:
   - Regulation

   - 47 CFR §97.313 (f) states that no station may transmit with a power exceeding 50 watts PEP on the UHF 70 cm band in areas specified in footnote US270 to §2.106 of part 2.
   -
      -   § 97.313 Transmitter power standards.
      - (f) No station may transmit with a transmitter power exceeding 50 W PEP on the UHF 70 cm band from an area specified in paragraph (a) of footnote US270 in § 2.106, unless expressly authorized by the FCC after mutual agreement, on a case-by-case basis, between the Regional Director of the applicable field facility and the military area frequency coordinator at the applicable military base.

   - 47 CFR § 2.106, Within 100 miles (160km) of Otis ANG  (41° 45' N, 70° 32' W). "
