 Hello allJust as an update to keep everyone in the loop,  here is where we are.There is a committee formed of Officers and interested members that are working to resolve the Tower Issue.This Committee is working with the Hospital Chef Electrician to get what we need from the Hospital.The Tower has been inspected and except for the folded top section is in good shape and solid as a rock.
The antenna appears to have not suffered any damage.The way it folded over it is in no immediate danger of breaking loose as the legs are still intact.We are working to get a crew to remove the antenna and mast, Cut off the Top section and remove the rest of the top section.A top plate and mid plate for the next section down will be fabricated so that the Mast can be mounted inside the tower for better weight distribution.The aircraft beacon for the helipad will have to be rewired and remounted to the new top plate.We may run new Coax at the same time to reduce Db loss in the existing coax. This should more than make up for the loss in height.The Club is still soliciting Donations to fund this work in addition to 2021 dues being due.
