Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency
Good Morning,
On very short notice, MEMA has had to permanently vacate our Region II office in Bridgewater. The office and Regional EOC (REOC) are now closed and we have temporarily relocated to other space while we look for a new permanent office and
Regional EOC. (Although we have moved out of the Bridgewater office, our radio equipment is still housed in the facility, and the radio tower at the site remains operational.)
For the next several months, our Region II staff is working in conference and office space that has been provided to us by the Plymouth Police Department, and the REOC has been moved to our headquarters in Framingham.
Contact information for our Region II staff and the REOC remain the same - - the phone numbers for our former Bridgewater office and Regional EOC are being forwarded to Headquarters. As a reminder, for MEMA Region II general inquiries,
please call 508-427-0400 and/or MEMA Headquarters at 508-820-2000.
To reach a member of our Region II staff, please continue to call their former numbers in Bridgewater; they are being forwarded to their cell phones:
James Mannion: 508-427-0401Doug Forbes: 508-427-0403Rachel Fleck: 508-427-0405John Viveiros: 508-427-0407Maryanne Pierce: 508-427-0409
As mentioned above, the Regional EOC is temporarily located at MEMA Headquarters in Framingham. When activated, the REOC can be contacted by radio (same as before), phone (same phone numbers as before; they are being forwarded to Headquarters),
WebEOC, and email.
We are currently looking for a new permanent home to house our staff and the Regional EOC. We would like to be as centrally located in the Plymouth/Norfolk/Bristol County areas as possible. Ideally, we will locate space in state or municipally
owned building, and we recognize that we likely will have to pay rent. Anyone who may know of suitable space in a state/municipal building should contact James Mannion at
james.a.mannion at mass.gov or at 508-427-0401.
If you have questions, please reach out to James Mannion, any member of our Region II staff, or me.
Sincerely,
Kurt
