CQ CQ CQ: Our friends on the Cape, the Falmouth Amateur Radio Association, are celebrating their 85 anniversary this month.
 
FARA President Brent W1NCH has asked me to share this info with all the local area hams in my email distribution lists. The Falmouth ARA has long been a great ham radio group and a good friend of all the other local ham clubs. I plan to join them in their celebration and hope you all can make it too.

Would you mind sharing the Falmouth Amateur Radio Association's 85th anniversary event with your email list and radio clubs?
 
It will be held in downtown Falmouth at Peg Noonan Park (240 Main Street, Falmouth, next to the library) on Saturday, September 24, from 9am to 5pm. We'll have GOTA stations, demonstrations, hands-on Morse code key construction, light refreshments, and even door prizes! It's a rain or shine event - the Barnstable County Sheriff's Department will be erecting a 20x20 tent for protection from sun or rain - and right next door will be the Falmouth Classic Car Club's annual Dream Cruise Car Show (antique & custom cars).
