[W1SMH] Public Service Event in Attleboro

Public Service - This year’s Attleboro Area Council of Churches Crop Hunger
Walk

The club has offered public service assistance for this year’s Attleboro
Area Council of Churches Crop Hunger Walk. The walk steps off at 1:30 on
Sunday afternoon October 20th from Capron Park. The walk is (3) miles long
and works its way around Attleboro and ends back  at its starting point at
the Newell Shelter in Capron Park. They are expecting between (400 – 500)
walkers with a goal of raising $30,000.  They are very excited about having
us helping out by watching out for the safety of the walkers and making
sure they take the correct path through the neighborhood.  They also have a
van that travels the circuit to pick up any of the walkers who might need
assistance. They have asked if we could have a ham ride in their van for
communications. To properly staffed the walk it would be nice to have at
least (8) hams.



Please advise if you could help out ASAP and we can discuss assignments and
times at the next club meeting on Tuesday Oct 15th



Please wear your HiViz Jacket or vest.
