Subject: Southington ARA Cruise-In
Hello Eastern Massachusetts Amateur Radio Clubs.
The Southington Amateur Radio Club is going to have its first Cruise-In.
What is a Cruise-In you ask? Well, it is a place where you can show off your mobile ham radio station, portable station or emergency go-kit.
To go with the cruisin' theme the venue will be the Southing Drive-In theater on Meridan-Waterbury Turnpike in Southington. As an added cruisin' attraction we will have several hot rod and classic cars on display from local New England hot rod clubs. This will be fun for the entire family
The event will take place Sunday September 25 from 9 am to 1 pm. We will award prizes for the best mobile station, portable/manpack station and emergency go-kit.
I have attached a flyer in PDF format for you to include in your newsletter or to pass out at you next meeting. E-mail me if you need some printed flyers to distribute at a hamfest or other event. I'll be happy to send them to you.
Please pass the word and we hope that your club members will plan to attend this event and have a good time. Your participation supports Amateur Radio and the Southington ARA. Thank you.
