Hello
The next large scale event in the year long celebration of Norton's 300th anniversary
will be a Town Picnic to be held on Sunday August 14th from 5:30PM to 9:30PM
at the Yelle School - High School campus at 64 West Main St.
The evening will end with Fireworks at 9PM. There will be food vendors but families are encouraged to bring
an old fashioned picnic. Games and other activities are also planned There will also be a Cruise Night for Classic Cars
Norton EMA has been tasked with providing Parking Lot control and traffic control on the campus.
We also need to provide power for the Bandstand and food vendors as well as lights for after the fireworks
for a safe exit.
We will need manpower to staff the arking lots and provide roving patrols and provide onsite communications.
What I am asking is to let me know who can provide some of their time for this fun event. We need to be onsite at
4:30PM until 9:30PM or whatever time you can spend.
Volunteers are certainly welcome to bring their families and make and evening of it.
As it probably won't get dark until 9PM we will be using the Towers primarily for auxillary power with maybe one
light head turned on at dusk. When the fireworks start we will kill the lights and at the conclusion will have 3 cold
lights on each tower that will fire right up.
Let me know what you can provide to help out at this fun event
Thank you
Ray Cord
