[W1SMH] North Attleboro Block Party

Good Morning All

I know it has been along time since the last communication and I
appoligize.  I am writing today looking for some assistance with the
upcoming block party scheduled for July 26, 2011 with a rain date of July
28, 2011.  We are looking for at least 9 Ham Radio Operators for the event
with some assigenments starting as early as 1500 Hrs and lasting until about
2130 Hrs.  If you are interested in participating please RSVP by July 21,
2011 with your avialbility.  Personel will be assigned at major
intersections to assist with locating lost children and inhancing public
safety communications.  We will also have personel assigned outside of NAFD
HQ to assist with shuttle bus drop off and at the NAHS parking lot for
shuttle bus pickup (Possibly Glenn & Patty N1MPT & N1PRU if they are
interested in participating).

Required equipment is a safety green with reflective vest (ARRL has these
availble if you do not have one or the jackets that Ray K2TGX was selling
can be converted into a vest).  If you need a vest and can not get one on
your own and wish to participate please let me know when you RSVP so I might
be able to help with this. Also at least a 2M HT but a Dual Band would be
perfered with either a headset or speaker mic with ear piece is recomended
due to the large amount of ambiant noise.
