Hi Scott
I can help with the simplex test on July 21st
Can I suggest you start the test at at 1900 instead of 1800
as more people may be available if you give them more time
to get home from work
Just tell me where to go, I mean where do you need me.

Subject: Meeting
Happy 4th of July everyone. It's hard to believe that it is here
already. I hope everyone is doing well.
The first item that I have is Kids Day. For those of you that may or
may not know the annual Kids Day event, which is a non-profit
organization event, is being held next weekend with a car show on
Thursday night, fireworks on Friday night and Saturday night and a road
race on Sunday morning. What I would like to ask is that if anyone is
planing on going to the fireworks on Friday or Saturday night, please
bring an HT with them and just check in with either myself or N1NVE on
the .195 Attleboro repeater and let us know that you are at the field
and are on the air and just be observers. If you see a police, fire or
EMS emergency, contact either one of us and we can get the approiate
resources dispatched to the location. For Sunday, if there are enough
people willing and able to help it would be nice if we could have ham
radio coverage along the road race course. If you are able to help at
all during this event, please let me know thank you.
Next, at long last the antenna/radio project for the fire stations and
the EOC here in town has been completed with the help of John KA1EWN and
Pete N1NVE along with the members of NAFD and NAPD. We have installed
Diamond X-200 antennas at all 3 fire stations and NAPD HQ for the EOC
along with Yaesu FT8800R dual band mobile radios with Samlex SEC1223
13.8 volt switching DC power supplies. With this project being
completed we would like to conduct another simplex test and then after
that simplex test is completed we would like to meet at the EOC in NAPD
HQ. The information is as follows. Date Wednesday July 21 Time 6pm
to 8 or 830pm.
We would like to cover the following locations.
NAFD HQ - KA1EWN
NAFD Station 2 - OPEN
NAFD Station 3 - OPEN
EOC @ NAPD HQ - N1NVE
DPW office 49 Whiting St. (must have HT or Mobile) - OPEN
NA Middle School Landry Ave. (must have HT or Mobile) - OPEN
NA Town Hall South Washington St. (must have HT or Mobile, ONLY IF WE
HAVE ALL OTHER LOCATIONS FILLED AND EXTRA PEOPLE)
SMH Radio Room - N1SEC?
Everyone should be at their assignments for 1800, at 1800 we will do a
role call on .195 and then switch to simplex for our test. After our
test is completed we will meet in the EOC at NAPD HQ where we will have
a meeting with an agenda containing but not limited too, A recap of the
antenna/radio project, an update on the Regional Hospital Radio Project,
2 software demo's and a show and tell of the Regional Field
Communications Unit that has just been relocated here to North
Attleobro. Please reply to me with your name callsign and if you have
an HT or a Mobile and would be able to cover one of the 3 locations that
might require an HT or a Mobile. Also if you have any questions please
feel free to contact me.
