[W1SMH] 900 MHz

Hello all was wondering if I might be able to spark some interest, in
the use of 900 MHz in the greater Attleboro area? I know we don't have a
local repeater (closest Hopkinton, and Waltham MA).

You can find the gear reasonably priced on E-bay, some have already been
converted to the 900 MHz amateur band, and others need to be converted

I recently got a Motorola MTX 9000; I have had many conversations on the
N3HFK machine in Hopkinton, MA. I was thinking if there were a few of us
that could get some base units up and running, which we might be able to
talk at least simplex to start off. Then maybe someday stumble into a
900 MHz repeater.

I think 900 MHz will become the new 440 MHz, with all the PAVE PAWS
issues down on the Cape, not sure also if the PAVE PAWS issue will
create a resurgence in the use of 220 MHz in the area.

Anyway looking for some comments and thoughts, I would really like to
see if I could get a few interested parties on board.
