[W1SMH] 29.6 Ten Meter FM

Just thought I would let you know. There is a group of people in the 
Metrowest area of Boston, that are starting to use 29.6 FM simplex for 
local QSO's. Most of these folks are running Motorola Low Band type 
radio's, in future they will be using PL of 151.4, however for now they 
are running no PL. The use of PL is to reduce interference when the band 
opens up.

They are suggesting to use vertical antenna's, though there are a few 
(myself included) who are using horizontaly polarized antenna's. Myself 
and John (K1JWP) are going to try it out for a while. So in the evenings 
give it a whirl.
