UPDATE - April 2005 KA1RCI Repeater Network
I am very please to report that the 223.960 & 449.325 MHz repeaters have
been successfully moved to their new location in Johnston, RI. In addition
to moving these two existing repeaters I have also added a new 2 meter
repeater on 145.190 MHz at the same site.
The hardware has been configured as one unit and function as a linked
network or "Stacked Repeater" however they can also run as three independent
systems as operating requirements dictate. Amateur radio operators can
access any of the three nodes in this stack and communicate with other
amateurs across 144, 222, and 440 seamlessly.
This configuration is ideal for ARES/RACES/CERTS activities allowing
volunteers to participate in training, public server events, and provide
real time communications across multiple bands in an emergency.
You can access the Johnston repeater stack on the following frequencies:
145.190 MHz Neg offset PL 67.0
223.960 MHz Neg offset PL 127.3
449.325 MHz Neg offset PL 127.3
Both the 145.190 & 449.325 repeaters share one antenna at the very top of a
350 foot tower putting the antenna at just over 709 feet sea level
elevation. The 223.960 repeater antenna is side mounted at approximately 550
feet above sea level.
These repeater can also be linked with the other KA1RCI repeaters located
around the state and are open to all licensed amateur radio operators.
You can view photos of the repeaters, the various sites including photos of
the towers, and additional information about the KA1RCI Repeater Network at
