[W1SMH] Club Communication - Hurricane Charlie

Hi Folks,


Dan Cormier of ClienTech Web Services, his wife Ann and their son Eric 
were in the direct path of Hurricane Charlie this weekend. Dan has been 
graciously hosting our web site (w1smh.com) since it's inception. They 
live about a mile north of Charlotte Harbor in devastated Port 
Charlotte, FL. I've been in touch with Dan's brother John and he said 
they have only heard from Dan once. Dan called another of his brothers 
in Tennessee during the "eye" of the hurricane from his cell phone and 
stated that they had tried to evacuate but were too late. A tornado had 
touched down on their escape route and they had to turn back. They 
returned home and huddled together in a closet with a mattress over 
their heads. John said at one point, it got so bad that the kissed each 
other goodbye! The eye arrived and they found that most of their roof 
and their Lanai/Pool area were gone. Their road was impassable and 
unfortunately, no one has heard from them since. We're trying several 
avenues to determine their whereabouts but communication into and out of 
the area is terrible at best. Your prayers and wishes are requested for 
Dan and his family. I'll try to update the club as I hear more info.
