[W1SMH] Someone in the club with a virus

There is someone in the club who keeps sending out a virus. This virus
comes from what appears to be a spoofed (fake) address. For example,
this person is sending out emails from [email protected] -- I NEVER use
that address to send email. I never even use it to sign up for
anything. I only give it out to hams as an easy way to get mail to me.
If you ever receive a message that says it's from [email protected],
delete it!

I have received virus mail from a few other callsigns that look rather
suspiciously like fake email. I even received one to myself, from
myself ([email protected]). =20

Just be on the alert. NEVER open attachments from anyone, even if you
know them, if you weren=92t expecting something.

Normally I do not advocate talking about computer issues such as this on
the mailing list, but it is becoming frustrating that someone in our
club has a virus and is sending out emails using our addresses.

Please, if you are on the Internet and your anti-virus software is not
up-to-date or is in question, take care of this immediately or consult
someone who is able eradicate your virus.

Thank you,=20
