    Ok a reminder to all, this Saturday the SE Ma and RI ARES will be =
holding their Simulated Emergency Test. SMHARC club members wishing to =
participate are welcome. We will be meeting between 8:30 and 9 AM at the =
N. Attleboro W.W.I park, in our field day location. There we will wait =
for situation to unfold and use it as a staging point.We will be using =
predominantly 2 meters, with a H.F. liaison at a remote point.
     Also, earlier this week I put a query out on the November =
Sweepstakes phone contest. I got a positive response, on doing the =
operating at home. Therefore what I am asking for is at least three club =
members who are also ARRL members and are willing to put an honest =
effort into the contest for the club. Of course the more people who =
contribute their efforts, it will make it easier on all. If you are =
interested please let me know. I also am asking people this early, so =
that if they don't have some form of logging program that converts to =
the ARRL required Cabrillo file. That they might be able to find one =
that would work well for them.
    A friendly reminder that the SMHARC "EmCom" practice net will be =
held at 8:30 pm tonight on the 147.195 repeater.
