Subject:	[W1SMH] ARCNBC Walk For Awareness:

		Get Out Your Walking Shoes:

Spring is officially here. I can make this proclamation
because we have
once again been asked to assist the Association for Retarded
Citicens of
Northern Bristol County on their annual Walk For Awareness.
We have not
participated at this event in several years, as the walk had
down sized, &
our services were being duplicated by the Attleboro Police
Department. This
year however, the walk will be taking a new route, & APD
will not be able to
provide as much coverage as in recent years.

The walk will step off at 10am from 5 bank street,
Attleboro, passing
through the center, down county street, to Kapron Park,
first circumventing
the park. The length of the walk is about 3 miles, & there
will probably be
		50/100 walkers.

Our assistance has been requested to keep walkers on course,
on the
sidewalk, & not spread out to much. We will NOT be
responsible for street
crossing, APD will be hancling that.

Six to eight hams will be needed, report time will be
9:30am. We will be
using the 147.195mhz repeater, as we have done in the past.
After the walk
we are invited to have refreshment with walk participants at
the park.
Further details we be available as soon as they are
finalized. If you are
interested in helping, please contact KA1IG, 508-643-0008,
		mailto:[email protected]/, or on 447.975mhz. I will be looking
forward to
		hearing from you all.

		73, & Thanks In Advance:
		Bruce, KA1IG
