First of all, I would like to thank all of you who have volunteered to
operate the 20m station at Field Day 2002. The schedule is full but as
always is subject to change if someone needs relief or wants to offer
their position to someone else. Once we're "on the air" my only request
is that if you leave the operating position, you make it known that you
will either be returning very soon (i.e. bathroom break) or you let me
know so that I can find a backup operator. We don't want dead air!

If you can think back to years passed and remember things that would
have made your 20m operating experience better, please let me know.
There is still time for me to make arrangements in most cases. I may be
the captain but our station isn't going to perform without a team
effort. Your comments and suggestions are greatly appreciated.

There is one issue that remains unsolved as of yet with the 20m station:
our shelter. Previous to this year, one of our members has graciously
provided his RV for the weekend. Unfortunately, the RV is not available
this year. Several leads have been pursued but none have been able to
guarantee a shelter. If one cannot be found in time, a screened shelter
will be setup. While this is not the best, it will keep us bug-free and
sheltered from the sun. If inclement weather visits us, a tarp can be
thrown over the gear in a pinch. If you have access to an RV, popup or
any other type that could be used for Field Day please contact me at
508-431-2529.

Thank you for your participation. I'm excited about the upcoming event
and I hope you are, too.
