To All-
I just thought I would let you know I just purchased
an RCA Victor Model 19K console (circa 1934). The
seller had separately packed away the electrodynamic
speaker complete with attached 4 pin connector cable.
The speaker physically is in excellent condition. The
wood cabinet is in good condition in that 95% or
better of the veneer is intact. There is just a small
sliver missing on the top. The radio chassis and RCA
AM loopstick magnet antenna is in excellent condition.
The grille cloth appears original with no cuts, or
holes. All tubes are present and there is no external
evidence of "modifications". I purchased this treasure
for ten dollars. Marc even put it in his van and
delivered it to me. It is now inside my living room in
my mobile home.
This should make an interesting project as it is my
first console to restore.
BTW- The RCA Model 19K frequency coverage is 540KCs to
4 MCs and 5.85MCs-18 MCs.
