The RAIN Report for the week of September 17 includes:

"The Hallicrafter Collector"  Part One  A virtual sci fi movie, "The Sky
Captain and the World of Tomorrow" opened as we went to press. We understand
that you'll see a Hallicrafter receiver in at least one scene. A number of
you hams and non hams alike probably haven't heard of Hallicrafter gear. So
in honor of Hallicrafter's cameo appearance in this new flick,  we bring you
this RAIN rerun from 1996. Chuck Dachis, WD5EOG, has been a recognized
Hallicrafter historian, collector and restorer for well over 25 years. This
week we bring you part 1 of an interview Hap Holly, KC9RP, conducted with
Chuck back in the spring of 1996.  (11 minutes)  Hopefully by next week
we'll learn just which Hallicrafter radio is portrayed in the aforementioned
