I have a decent G-500 that is completely intact, case is not broken or chipped.

Negatives: Receives BCB well but nothing on SW (the usual bandswitch tower
contact problem, one assumes). Moderate hum--filter presumably needs to be
replaced, or might reform given a few hours. Waverod tip won't lock in down
position. Brasswork is tarnished. Line cord looks original but was spliced
outside chassis. The black stag covering has a couple of small bare spots
(left side back edge, scuff on lid). A few speckles on top.

Positives: Has Wavemagnet (with original hardware), ribbon cable, suction
cups. Chassis clean. No leakage in battery compartment. Has excellent repro
(from Mike Koch) of operating manual, time map, service sheet/schematic,
and even the little "property of" label. The knobs are original. Bezel is
in very good condition. The 1L6 really is a 1L6 and not a 1R5 or other
substitute.

I'm not sure what's reasonable. I certainly don't want to let the set go
for a ridiculous price. The G-500, while not truly rare (like the military
R-520), is much less common than the later models. And this one is in nice
shape for its age.

Is $125 plus shipping fair?
