Up for sale is a Hallicrafters R-42 Reproducer Bass Reflex Speaker. This
speaker was designed to match the SX-42 receiver with its beautiful
push-pull audio section. But this vintage boatanchor speaker will do
wonders for your other Hallicrafters, Knight-Kit, Heathkit, National, or
Collins receiver or transceiver!

It uses an 8" permanent magnet speaker with a 500 ohm impedance in a steel
tabletop bass-reflex cabinet. You can use a transformer to match the
impedance of radios that have different output impedances. I'll even throw
one in as part of the deal.
The interior of the cabinet is coated with a felt-like fabric to eliminate
cabinet vibrations. It has a built-in switchable crossover network for
communications or hi-fi reception. The speaker was produced from 1946
through 1948. It is in very good condition. No dents or dings, but there
are some scratches due to normal wear-and-tear.

It's a bit heavy, so I will carefully pack it to prevent accidents from
happening. However, if you prefer, I can have the speaker professionally
packed for you, at cost. Get it now before Dayton - $100 plus shipping from
60516.
