This list will prove beneficial to anyone who is interested in the
collection, restoration, and operation of vintage radio equipment. While
this list will deal mainly with American-made amateur radio receivers and
transmitters, other makes are welcome so long as they fit the category of
"vintage". To qualify for vintage status a set must be 25 years old and
preferably contain vacuum tubes.
This category can include military, home broadcast sets, commercial
equipment and homebrew equipment. Any homebrew
equipment using vacuum tubes and operating CW or AM will be considered
"vintage" equipment no matter what the age. Accessories such as keys,
antenna tuners, wattmeters, test equipment, etc. is also considered a part
of the Vintage hobby and will be welcome if it is at least 25 years old.
e-Bay auction announcements are welcome here, as long as they meet the above
criteria for equipment.
