One that I use and have had for years, but don't
know if still in publication is Master Tube Substitution
Handbook by Tab Editorial Staff, TAB Books,
Blue Ridge Summit, Pa 17214
ISBN - HARDBACK - 0-8306-6870-8
ISBN - PAPERBACK- 0-8306-5870-X
Library of Congress Card No 76-24782
First Printing 8/76
I don't know if TAB has come out with any updated
versions or not. But I have been using this one for years
as I sort thru tubes for glowbug and boatanchor equipment
over the past years. It has no technical specs but does have
the tube base diagram. It lists the preferred substitution and
a good substitution in a separate column. It also has a section
for monochrome and colour picture tube substitutions.
The sections of the book are:
Receiving and Transmitting tubes,
Foreign Tubes
Commercial and Industrial Tubes
B&W and Color CRTs
Base Diagrams.
Hope that helps and you have good luck in locating the
book, if this is the type for which you are looking.
