[Vintage-Radio] Viking Problem

I recently fired up a Viking, and find that  when the power is on, the 
oscillator is on... I can hear it in a receiver tuned to that frequency. I 
transmit, great, but when I quit, I still hear a signal in the receiver. Any 
ideas?
