[Vintage-Radio] Tube Question

Hello-
I don't think that 5003 is a valid tube number. I just checked the listings
in the manuals for my two tubetesters, a TV-7B/U and Hickok 539-C ( both
with the most recent manuals ) and the lowest number in this series seems to
be 5516. Nothing below this. 5003 sounds like it might be some date code, or
other number, but not the type number. Is here a tube layout diagram with
the unit? This should tell the tale.
Your Hickok KS-15560-L1 was made for the telephone company. Some ( but not
all ) of these KS series testers were exactly like, or very similar to,
regular "civilian" models, only with different model numbers. It would
probably help a lot if you could come up with the "civilian" equivalent
model, and search for updates based in this, rather than the KS model
number. The KS series DID, however, list all Western Electric tubes, whereas
the "civilian" models did not.
