I have a hand made superhet from the mid 1920's with a High Frequency
Laboratories (HFL) IF "strip". The strip consists of three tetrode IF tubes
and a triode detector in four identical embossed copper plated boxes. The
strip appears to be similar electrically to the one shown as the HFL Isotone
10 in Rider's Volume I.

The oscillator and mixer are each in a handmade copper boxes and there were
two
audio stages. One audio stage was removed when an external homemade power
supply/power amp was added (which I also have).

The superhet is in what looks like a Corbett table top cabinet.

Does anyone have information on HFL or have any similar superhets?

Thanks, Steve, K1WGN
