Hi All,
I have a neighbor who is interested in purchasing some older speakers for
his family room stereo system. (I wonder who talked him into that idea?) Do
any of you have, or know of, any "good" Acoustic Research AR-3 or Advent
model 2002 systems for sale?
He would also consider older three way systems with the twelve, or fifteen,
inch woofers.
They would have to be shipped to Flint, MI, unless they happened to be
within a 100 mile radius for pick up.
He is also interested in a fully operational seven inch reel to reel stereo
deck. Preferably a four head model.
Thanks!

Hi All,
Is there any advantage in using a rear ported speaker cabinet versus a front
ported one?
The bass reflex system uses a tuned front port to phase the sound from the
rear of the speaker cones with the sound from the front of the speaker
cones. This provides about a 25% boost in audio, especially the lower
frequencies.
The rear ported cabinets bounce the sound from the rear of the speaker cones
off what, a wall? How does this keep the front and rear sound waves in
phase?
