Thank you Bob. It has some features that I was not previously aware of.
Yes, it does offer an automatic finalize feature. To my knowledge, the
entire DVD must be 'full' for this feature to be useable. If a DVD is only
partly full, the manual finalize must be used. At least that is how it was
'read' to me. Perhaps it was incorrect?
I tried to manually finalize the DVD, but it did not work.
One possible cause: I was told to press "Setup". Then to press the down
button four times. This should have put me in the DVD Menu. Then I had to
press 'enter'. Next I had to press the down button twice, which put me on
the "finalize' menu. There I pressed 'enter' again. Then I was asked if I
really wanted to finalize it etc. Y/N. YES being the first choice, NO being
the second one. I assumed that the first choice was highlighted by default,
so I dutifully pressed 'enter' again.
This procedure failed. Obviously I am doing something wrong, or the person
who read me the instructions from the manual by phone from OH missed a step.
Duane, W8DBF
