Hi All,
My special thanks to the sneak out there who sent me an excellent original
copy of Herb Alpert's "Whipped Cream And Other Delights". What a surprise
when that arrived unannounced at my door!
I played it through today and listened for any imperfections or damage from
having been enoyed over the past forty-four years since its release. I found
one little "pop" in song two of side number two. But I think I know an audio
trick that might allow me to eliminate that little annoyance. I will tell
you want I did later, if it works!
I am off to attempt to remaster the album now. If all goes well, the DAT
Master will be done in several hours - I hand cue and fade in and out of
every track - so it takes longer. But in my ear's opinion, is worth it. Then
another forty-five minutes of real time from the DAT to the CDRW deck to
burn the Master CD.
Oh yes, a sighted friend who took a hard squint at the cover told me that he
could see clothing underneath that whipped cream bra! Did any of you notice
that?
Question: Now granted my sighted readers are getting older and most have
great difficulty in being able to read fine or fancy print. Try as we did, I
failed to find any production date on all of the A&M Record jackets. Is my
reader missing them or?
For reasons unknown, some albums seem to have a release or production date
and others do not. Is there some reason for this?
