H Gerry,
Sorry for the lengthy delay in responding, but on March 5th I suddenly lost
100% of the hearing in my left ear. I spent the next twelve days in an
earthly Hell. I could not get in to have my ENT specialist take a squint
until April 1st Fortunately for me, I was able to work some of my 'Magic' on
the day of Saint Patrick!
Once the huge deposit of ear wax was removed I could once again hear a Flea
fart at a hundred meters during the rock concert demo provided by the neuron
challenged, auditory nerve pathways now dead and buried and brought to the
neighboorhood live by a thousand watt amplifier and modified military bull
horn speakers!
I am not sure if I understood your comment about receiving a song title list
"years" ago or not. I probably did send you one Gerry, but I did send you
another copy of it during the past month! So if you do not have the list,
let me know and I will send it to you again.
You can just imagine what it cost me to create this incredible collection
Gerry. For what it is worth sir, this is the "only" copy that exists. I do
not even have a backup copy. Which is frankly, in a word, STUPID!+ I guess
the only thing close to an excuse for that is that I could never seem to
find the time to remaster the masters in "real time". Good excuse, but still
STUPID! As losing the forty Master CDS would be an incredible financial loss
and an even worse loss of time! Just remastering the original tracks from
DAT to CD took me one solid month, about 300 hours!
What do you think about a price of $750? My actual cost to operate the
equipment involved is about $40 per hour. My cost for purchasing "new"
re-released original 45 rpm singles was about $3,500. Which I ended up
selling back to the Oldies music speciality store here in the Flint, MI area
at a loss of about 75%! (Groan!) We won't even get into "labor" for what I
did. Gerry, it had to be a labor of love! Or else insanity hitting the
street with all wheels depositing rubber on the bricks!
If this is not acceptable, maybe we can work something else out that is.
Duane
