Hi All,
Today I had a sighted friend look at the two record album by the Carpenters.
It is just what Pete, WA2CWA, said it should be. It is by A&M Records, (Herb
Alpert and Jerry Marsh), pressed in 1973, entitled "Now And Then" and is a
single album, not a double!
Somebody stuck a second record in with the original album making it "appear"
as a double album! The second record turned out to be another copy of the
original record! Sadly, both copies look as if a Hippo did a tap dance
routine on them while wearing Zinc coated Steel studs in his tennis shoes!
More scratches then a pet owner who got caught between two Cats in a turf
war!
Side #2 of said album does have a terrific medley of sixties Oldies, as well
as some Karen Carpenter renditions of other R&R hit songs.
Now, can any of you help the old blind dude obtain a playable vinyl copy of
this? If it has ever been released on CD, I would settle for one of those as
an alternative to the vinyl.
Thanks Pete, and all!
