Thank you Fred and Bob,

Well my friends set is complete and fully functional. His son uses it now 
and then to play tapes and listen to FM. Maybe he better recover it and put 
some hungry guard dogs near it!

It was made by Thompson Manufacturing, according to a answering machine 
message I got while doing the Halli Saturday 40 meter Net yesterday.

According to WA8YLZ, Rick in far western, Michigan in a little place called 
Custer, Thompson is owned by RCA? They are also located near Custer, MI
