Hi All,
Please feel free to post articles to this list that you believe are of
general interest to the subscribers. Such as the one about Anita Kerr. While
it is perfectly fine to just post the link, many subscribers enjoy seeing
the article right here. So go ahead and post them. Those who do not want to
read them won't and will simply exercise their right to press the delete
key.
Too often excellent articles are missed because of having to click on a
link. Don't ask me why, it just is! Maybe because most of us get so much
electronic mail that we skim through and simply overlook items accidentally.
But when the article is there on the display sometimes it jogs some still
awake neurons in our brain and we stop and read.
This list is "ALL" about Vintage Audio, which does not limit it to just
hardware or technical manuals. Historical material, amusing tales - personal
experience or published in some magazine, suggestions to subscribers to
"check out" something on a web site you discovered, questions about any
facet of the field of audio, items on TV or commercial radio (including
regular weekly airings), comments or observations of different Artists or
pieces of music, questions about where to find a song or an album or a tape
or a part or ... So don't be afraid to offend somebody by asking a question
that you fear somebody else may regard as rudimentary or dumb. There are
"NO" dumb questions, just some of the answers one gets! (LOL!)
This is a terrific list and the subscribers, though low in number, are very
well versed in every area of audio. I manage a dozen QTH.NET lists for owner
Alan Waller, K3TKJ, and I can honestly say that the ratio of gifted
subscribers per subscriber count is among the highest on this list! Thanks
to everyone for making it that way. All contributions, no matter how small
or large, are important and useful to someone.
