Thank you Bob. Great job of data provision and clairification.

Nowadays the editors and/or publishers seem to be very remiss on checking 
the authenticity and correctness of "facts". The article on William 
Halligan, Sr., W9WZE (at that time), the founder of the Hallicrafters Co., 
once did some work writing a column for a newspaper on the east coast. 
Either in NY or MA. The article had Halligan as a major author with a 
syndicated column and more. Nobody bothered to check the article prior to 
publication. Then again, does anybody care nowadays? Facts? Why bother with 
them. Just print it and we will print a retraction in fine print some place 
in the classified ads!
