Hi All,
Two weeks since the oral surgery, healing. Very slowly. Patience never was
one of my virtues, but like it or not, this is going to take time. Actually
I am healing faster than normal and well ahead of the normal recovery
schedule, so they tell me. Now if only I felt that way!
Thanks to several members of this list, I have enjoyed some awesome music,
on vinyl naturally, during my recovery and diet of soft food. Soft food
being defined as anything I can pour down my throat! (LOL!) I had plenty of
time to just lie back and listen to stuff I had not played in decades. Now
that part I loved!
I was wondering if any of you have ever heard, or seen, the singles that
Floyd Cramer released about 1957? The first one he released, I think, was
"That Honky Tonk Piano". The second most of you know, "Flip, Flop And Bop"
from 1958.
There is an album from circa 1964 entitled "Floyd Cramer Goes Honky
Tonkin'", but that is "not" the same as the 1957/1958 release of the single.
Have any of you vintage vinyl devotees ever heard or seen this 'single'? Now
maybe I am mistaken, but I do not think he released an album until 1960 with
"Hello Blues". Right?
Thank you!
For those who follow the mischevous wanderings of the Hallicrafters mascot,
Frogzilla, the rumble has it that a tale of teeth is soon to be biting your
rumps to be read!
