Hi All,

Keep your belly of button and favorite stylus free of lint, your thoughts on
the sound level meters and your nose in the grooves!

What date did the RCA Nashville Studio B actually start recording?

Now I am assuming that the session players were under contract from the
outset. Many of these musicians, and some vocalists, became world reknown
artists in their own right. How long was RCA able to hold Chet Atkins, Floyd
Cramer, Boots Randolph Charlie McCoy, the Anita Kerr Singers etc.?

It seems to me that Chet Atkins was the first name I heard about that was
associated with the infamous RCA Nashville Studio B. I know he enticed a
young Floyd Cramer to move to Nashville in 1955 and sign on as the house
pianist. How long did Cramer play for RCA as a session musician? He produced
quite a lot of albums on his own as well.

I hear Atkins mentioned whenever the so called "Nashville Sound", as it has
come to be known, mentioned. Was he the 'real' driving force behind it? Was
it Chet Atkins that found and signed all of the fabulous session artists to
this Studio B? What a group!

Thanks to one particular member of this list, I was able to obtain a new
'sealed' copy of the 1988 release by Floyd Cramer of "Country Gold". Wow!
Absolutely sensational sound! Well produced and arranged! "Only The Lonely",
by the legendary Roy 'The Boy' Orbison, never sounded any better! Well
except when Roy sang it, of course! If you like Floyd Cramer, or just good
instrumental music, this album will not disappoint you!

Thanks!
