Hi All,

Last week the postal delivery person left me a surprise, a copy of the 1962
release: Floyd Cramer Gets Organ-Ized. For those who do not know who Floyd
Cramer is, he is perhaps the most gifted pianist in the world. He can play
anything, and do it to perfection. So what the heck is he doing messing with
an organ?

This package seems to have come from the Nashville, TN location of the
"Great Escape". I say 'seems', because the sender is nameless and the only
address is that of the Great Escape.

I thought this was Floyd Cramer playing the electronic organ, imagine my
surprise when he was playing the piano! However, the other side does have
him playing an organ. Nobody has ever mention to me that this album was both
the piano and the organ! His 1964 release of "At The Console" is all organ.

So did somebody play a joke on me or what? Whomever sent this remains a
mystery, the "Great Escape" could be a spoof also with today's modern 'can
do anything' printers! Then a record that is half piano?

Maybe this is the way it was released, it totally caught me off guard as I
never thought that Floyd Cramer would be playing the piano on an organ
album!

What can any of you tell me about this mystery?

While we are pondering this, was there a second album with Floyd Cramer
playing the organ entitled: "Floyd Cramer Gets Re-Organ-Ized?

Hey Lee! Ever see a copy of the late sixties Moog synthesizer release called
"Country Moog"? It did not have the guy/woman? Walter Wendy Carlos playing
it. He/she was about the only musician that could play it right, other than
its inventor. Just look how far the synthesizer has come?
