Hi All,
Maybe our "Man In Nashville", Lee Hazen, knows the anser, then again, maybe
others on this well versed list do too! I should distinguish that Chet
Atkins did have an album titled "Our Man In Nashville", my reference was not
about his album.
The Anita Kerr Singers? The Anita Kerr Quartet? Different groups with Anita
Kerr heading them up or the same group by another name?
The 1963 recording by Al Hirt "Honey In The Horn" done at the famous RCA
Studio B There is a bass singer singing with the Anita Kerr group, normally
there is not. One of the two guys, drops down and sings a bass baritone, but
in no way is singing a true bass.
It is this change to a 'true' quartet style that is responsible for the
group's name change?
So I ask you, is this the same group with the same name with a substitution
of the baritone for a bass? Or?
