I recorded an album of Floyd Cramer performing "Live" at a high school in
Madison, TN - not sure of the year - l974 comes to mind. I used my remote
unit which had an MCI JH 10-16 2" 16 track recorder and two Tascam Model
10 16 input consoles in a Shasta Travel trailer which I towed behind my 66
Fleetwood Caddy. Chet Atkins produced the album.
I got to talk to Chet at length about Brother Dave Gardner, the comedian.
Chet produced Dave's albums about Southern Humor and those are my favorites.
Dave's stories are priceless and they were served with liberal amounts of
Scotch as he performed. Lots of editing was done by Chet and the end result
is hillarious !
