somebody enlighten me as to what the 'A' studio was? Apparently I was buying
recordings made in the 'B' studio? If I sound confused, it is because I am!

RCA "B" was the first studio they built in Nashville. The studio itself is
about
35' X 50'. Elvis and the Everly Brothers cut their early hits there.
RCA "A" is the large 50' X 100' studio. It is capable of orchestral
recording.
RCA built other studios that size in NYC, Chicago and LA ?
RCA Nashville record lable was housed in the many offices that Studio A is
in. It is a very large building and I think Chet Atkins and Owen Bradley
owned it.
Studio A is currently leased to Warren Peterson - Javalina Recording is the
studio name ( I think).
That room is so large that they later installed a wall that raised up to the
ceiling
and could be lowered to cut the room in half. Worked like an automatic garage
door on tracks. It's been over 10 years since I've been in that wonderful
studio.
Lee Hazen - The retired guy - who just spent the afternoon repairing a Webster
Chicago # 80 wire recorder and a Teac reel to reel with stuck pinch roller
arm.
It's always SOMETHING !
