         331/3 transcriptions go back to the 1930's.  Microgroove 
(LP) records appeared in both 331?3 and 45 RPM shortly after the end 
of WWII, say about 1948 or 1949. 16 2/3 appeared as a selling feature 
shortly after. (A FOUR speed record changer!), but I don't recall 
ever seeing a disk.
