Dear Jerry,

I recently had a hearing test. My high frequency threshold in one ear is a
little below 7500 hz. The other ear is about 9500 hz and is only about 75 %
of normal level. Sadly, both were over 19000 hz at one point.

Now that is not so bad Jerry. There is not much above 6000 Hz that humans need
to hear anyhow! It used to drive me crazy when I was the only one who could hear
that high frequency racket from the TV or some other electrical product. The
better the reproduction of what studios recorded on vinyl or tape, be it reel or
cassette, or on CD/DVD or whatever, the more noise and trash you can hear. So a
little hearing loss in selected frequencies ... Well that is what those new
noise cancelling headphones do! As we get older we just find less need for them
and save a heck of a lot of cash!

I can still hear a Flea fart at a thousand yards, but so what? No human cares,
the Fleas are not even interested!
