Hello all:

I recently aquired a Luxman (Sez "Lux" on the front panel, but Luxman on the
owners manual) Model 2003 three channel, all tube (8 12AU7), electronic
crossover.

I changed the crossover points to match my old Magnaplanar MG1-B's
requirements, and have it tri-amping my system now.

Sounds great! Has 1/8 octave adjustmments and level control for each
channel so I can modify the output to satisfy my old ears.

My only real question regarding the unit is that I've never heard of it
before. A Google yielded a fellow in the Netherlands who had some
information on, but that was it. He said that a company named "Marchand" in
New York has copied the circuit and is selling units in a crumby box for
$2400.00, and you can't easily change the crossovers yourself but have to
buy the boards from them.

No one on the Luxman reflector seems to know anything about the device.

I'm just curious if anyone knows much, or anything about it.

TIA, Barrie, W7ALW
