The difference is, J.D.Sumner is documented by instrumentation, and certified.
The others are not. Making a noise is one thing, singing is quite another!

I will put my money on J.D. Sumner as I know he did it for real without any
eelectronic trickery and I heard him do it for forty years!

Next Bob go find me another totally blind professional magician/illusionist,
there are several who were legally blind. The late Duke Sturn among them. The
ones I found making that claim could do a trick or two, but not a one of them
were able to do a performance. My point? Singing is one thing, making a noise is
another. If J.D. could sing at 32 Hz, I am sure he could burp at -10 Hz! Ha Ha.

Like Duane, I have been a long-time fan of J.D. Sumner, who as Duane says
could actually sing in the lowest vocal range. But records are made to be
broken, although I doubt many woofer-testers will be able to hear the
difference - the three bass-note record holders are explained at
http://bransongs.com/ :

THE WORLD'S LOWEST BASS SINGER is Tim Storms of Branson's "50's at the Hop"
show at Branson Mall. Storms can hit a note as low as 8 hertz, inaudible to
the human ear and slightly more than an octave below the previous record of
16.5, according to a video report by KY3 News Anchor Jerry Jacobs aired
Sunday morning on Nashville's Channel 5. In the past, the title of lowest
bass singer was previously held by another Branson artist, Dan Britton of
Pierce Arrow and also the late J.D.Sumner of the Stamps Quartet.
