Pete,

Stateside, I think all audio tape today is made by
Quantegy.

Without doing a lot of note researching, seems that Quantegy 
bought out the Ampex tape production facility in Opelika, AL,
many years ago, and I forget what Scotch-3M is doing in the
tape business.  TDK and Maxell are also making tape stock,
but I think that is coming out of Japan.

Can't tell you what is happening in Europe, tho.
