For the price, roll the dice -
Turntables in storage frequently equals problems. Lubrication hardens, belts
break down and springs lose tension. Imagine yourself if you did not move for a
week! You better get your good turntable out of storage and get it serviced!
You can not argue with the price, so buy them, try them and have fun.

Gentlemen,
Have a chance to pick up this deck pretty reasonably (garage sale),. along
with a Kenwood KR 710 receiver, and Hitachi HT 40S turntable.
These aren't top of the line, or even really 'vintage', so please excuse the
posting.
I'd really like to pick up the receiver (30 W/Chan) as a back-up or
'experimental
amp for mid's and different concoctions. It's Solid State ( I'm not 'pure yet),
I disposed of quite a few tube amps. in the past that now I could kill myself
for doing.
The Teak V44c deck looks like new, along with the other two pieces. Has anybody
have any experience with any of these units, or I being sway by some 'shinny
pretty
things? What about the turntable. ( i have a Dual 1229Q in storage, I need to
build/buy
a new wood base for it to restore it)
They are asking $40.00 for the bunch.
Thanks for allowing me to bore you.
My 'true love' is my Heath AR-1500 and Electrovoice 15" w/ horn mids. and
tweeters
in Bazilury (sp?) cabinets. This was in the mid 70's, and I could have bought
eiher
the EV's, or Bose 901's. Still not sure if I made the right decision.
I STILL WANT MY BOSE !!
Thanks,
Don
