Thanks to everyone for the info on the JBL L-100 monitor speakers. That was
exactly what I was looking for. The audio store had a Thorens (sp)
turntable, a McIntosh C-28 preamp, and a McIntosh MC-2300 power amp. Your
info jogged my memory of the salesman arguing that since the record producer
(the guy who mixed the recording) used JBL monitor speakers during the
mixdown, if you want to hear what he intended the world to hear, you should
have JBLs also.
