Greetings All,
If any of you have, or had, a H. Scott LK-48b stereo amplifier, did it have a
metal cover for the bottom of the chassis? There are screw holes for one, but
this amplifier is missing the cover.
Because of the power resistors under the chassis, it gets HOT down there. Did
the cabinet for this amplifier have heat vents cut into the chassis cover and/or
vents in the bottom of the optional cabinet?
This amplifier generates so much heat under the chassis, that I am fearful of
cooking the wiring insulation. Any thoughts or suggestions?
It sure sounds nice since it was electrically refurbished, including all new
audio output tubes and phase inverters. It is not as fancy or powerful as the
LK-72b, but a solid quality performer.
Thanks for the assistance.

P.S. The only thing better than vintage audio gear andgood vinyl to play on it,
is a good woman to enjoy it with.
