Duane, I suggest Parts Express - http://www.partsexpress.com/   They have a
pretty good range of speakers including 12" from $35 each and up.   "Way
Up", I should say - but I suspect that one of the modestly priced woofers
would be a good replacement for the type of speaker you described.

PS:  Does anyone remember the old McGee Radio out of Kansas City?  Now THERE
